Abstract

"MATERIAL FIBROSO DE VOLUME E RESISTêNCIAELEVADOS COM MORFOLOGIA DE FIBRA PERMANENTE". OF VOLUME AND HIGH RESISTANCE WITH PERMANENT FIBER MORPHOLOGY". Amorphology of woody fibers can be altered in a permanent way by introducing substantial twisting, entanglement, curling, wrinkling or other curvilinear deformation in a woody fiber. Woody fibers are first sprayed using mechanical treatment processes and then subjected to pressure blast processing with superatmospheric pressure / temperature. Fiber amorphology becomes a permanent feature of the fiber which is not relaxed over time, through contact with other treatments or through use.
