Abstract
"ARROZ RESISTENTE A HERBICIDA". São reveladas plantas de arroz com várias fontes de resistência a herbicidas que normalmente inibem a enzima AHAS (acetohydroxyacid synthase - sintase de ácido acetohidroxi). Além de controlar o arroz vermelho, muitos herbicidas inibidores de AHAS também controlam eficazmente outras ervas daninhas que são comuns nas plantações de arroz. Vários desses herbicidas possuem atividade residual, de modo que um tratamento pode controlar tanto as ervas daninhas existentes como as ervas daninhas que brotam posteriormente. Com atividade residual eficaz contra o arroz vermelho e outras ervas daninhas, os produtores de arroz agora têm um sistema de controle de ervas daninhas superior aos que estão disponíveis comercialmente hoje em dia.
