Abstract
"SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA ASSISTIR UM CORAçãO BOMBEAR SANGUE". Um sistema de assistência cardíaca inclui um sensor que operativo para detectar a atividade elétrica do coração do paciente. A atividade elétrica detectada é processada para determinar o surgimento de contração ventricular. Uma força compressiva de um dispositivo de assistência ventricular é aplicado aos ventrículos durante pelo menos uma porção da contração ventricular. O sistema de assistência ventricular também inclui um sistema de estimulação elétrica. Assim, no caso de o coração começar a fibrilar, o sistema de estimulação elétrica é atuado para aplicar pulsos estimuladores ao coração.
