Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA DETERMINAR A QUALIDADE DE FRUTAS E BAGAS E APARELHO PARA CLASSIFICAR FRUTAS E BAGAS"<D>. A invenção refere-se a um processo para determinar a maturidade e a qualidade das frutas e bagas através da medição da quantidade de fluorescência da clorofila, e a um aparelho para classificar frutas e bagas. O processo se baseia na determinação da quantidade da fluorescência através da clorofila das frutas e bagas. A invenção compreende a fluorescência da molécula de clorofila por meio da irradiação das frutas e bagas com uma irradiação eletromagnética de um comprimento de onda adequado e através da medição do grau de fluorescência. As vantagens do processo são a sensibilidade muito alta, a não destrutibilidade e uma velocidade muito alta. Estas vantanges da invenção permitem construir um aparelho de classificação no qual as frutas e bagas são selecionadas com base na quantidade de clorofila. Devido ao fato da intensidade da fluorescência da clorofila estar diretamente relacionada à quantidade de clorofila, agora será possível classificar as frutas e bagas quanto ao estágio de amadurecimento e qualidade.Invention Patent: <B> "PROCESS TO DETERMINE THE QUALITY OF FRUITS AND BERRIES AND APPARATUS TO CLASSIFY FRUITS AND BERRIES" <D>. The invention relates to a process for determining the maturity and quality of fruits and berries by measuring the amount of chlorophyll fluorescence, and to an apparatus for classifying fruits and berries. The process is based on the determination of the amount of fluorescence through the chlorophyll of fruits and berries. The invention comprises the fluorescence of the chlorophyll molecule by irradiating the fruits and berries with an electromagnetic radiation of an appropriate wavelength and by measuring the degree of fluorescence. The advantages of the process are very high sensitivity, non-destructibility and very high speed. These advantages of the invention make it possible to build a classification apparatus in which fruits and berries are selected based on the amount of chlorophyll. Due to the fact that the intensity of chlorophyll fluorescence is directly related to the amount of chlorophyll, it will now be possible to classify fruits and berries according to the stage of ripeness and quality.
