More particularly, the molding tape containing a substrate prepared by thermal contraction of a warp woven fabric comprising a polyester fiber in a chain stitch and in a weft layer, a stretched yarn connecting the chain stitches and an elastic fiber, is coated with water-curable polyurethane prepolymer resin. As a result, the invention provides: 1) better conformability to the shape of the body due to the multiple axial extension; 2) less compression for the patient's limbs; 3) sufficient crush strength compared to that of the fiberglass mold, although it has a thinner layer; and 4) significantly reduced location of the coated resin during storage.
