Abstract

"SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA BUSCAR DOCUMENTOS ELETRôNICOS CRIADOS COM RECONHECIMENTO DE CARACTER óPTICO". Pedidos de busca são processado de modo a compensar caracteres e tiras de caracter erroneamente lidos durante a digitalização OCR. Após uma busca alfanumérica ser iniciada (50) , o sistema determina as palavras variantes associadas com o pedido de busca alfanumérico iniciado de acordo com uma tabela predefinida de erros OCR possíveis, a probabilidade de ocorrência de erro OCR(s) e um limite predefinindo de probabilidades de ocorrência (52). Quando o processamento é completado, um instrumento de busca então usa as palavras variantes para buscar uma base de dados contendo documentos digitalizados OCR (54).
