Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA REMOçãO DE COMPOSTOS DE ENXOFRE DE UM GáS DE HIDROCARBONETO CONTENDO ENXOFRE". Um gás de hidrocarboneto com muito baixo conteúdo de enxofre é obtido pela colocação do gás em contato, de uma forma sequencial, primeiro com óxido de zinco e em seguida com níquel metal. Isto tem reduzido o conteúdo total de enxofre da alimentação de gás natural para um gerador de gás de síntese em leito fluidizado para menos de 0,1 ppm e tem resultado em uma maior produtividade de gás de síntese. Um leito de guarda de óxido de zinco a jusante do gerador de gás de síntese reduz o conteúdo total de enxofre do gás de síntese para menos de 10 ppbv e, de preferência, para menos de 5 ppbv. Esse gás de síntese com conteúdo muito baixo de enxofre é usado para processos sensíveis ao enxofre tal como para síntese de hidrocarbonetos.
