<B>APLICAçãO DE POLIETILENO LINEAR DE BAIXA DENSIDADE (PELBD) MODIFICADO EM FILMES TERMOCANTRáTEIS E FILMES TERMOCONTRáTEIS<D> é descrita a aplicação em filmes termocontráteis, de polietileno linear de baixa densidade (PELBD) modificado pela incorporação termomecânica de um agente de geração de radicias livres, o material modificado podendo ser usado isolado ou em proporção de pelo menos 50% p/p com polietileno de baixa densidade (PEBD). Os filmes termocontráteis obtidos apresentam características de melhor soldabilidade, resistência à perfuração e tensão e alongamento de ruptura.
