Abstract

"EQUIPAMENTO PARA SIMULAçãO DE CICLO TéRMICO PARA AVALIAçãO DA FADIGA TéRMICA DE ROLOS DE LINGOTAMENTO CONTìNUO". Trata-se de equipamento que viabiliza o emprego de método para avaliação dos materiais utilizados em rolos de lingotamento contínuo, quanto à susceptibilidade à fadiga térmica, baseado na determinação do número de trincas. O método apresenta vantagens sobre o usual por ser mais rápido e de baixo custo. O equipamento desenvolvido consiste de uma mesa giratória (1), em posição vertical, contendo porta-amostras (2), nos quais são fixados corpos-de-prova (3), que são submetidos a um ciclo térmico. O aquecimento dos corpos-de-prova (3) é realizado pela utilização de tochas oxi-acetilênicas (7), na parte superior da mesa giratória (1), perpendiculares aos porta-amostras (2) e o resfriamento dos corpos-de-prova (3) é realizado em um reservatório (10) de água circulante, na parte inferior da mesa giratória (1). A temperatura dos corpos-de-prova (3) e a temperatura do reservatório (10) são controladas por um controlador de temperatura CT1 (9)."EQUIPMENT FOR SIMULATING THERMAL CYCLE FOR EVALUATION OF THERMAL FATIGUE OF CONTINUOUS LANGUAGE ROLLS". It is equipment that makes possible the use of a method for evaluating the materials used in continuous casting rolls, regarding the susceptibility to thermal fatigue, based on the determination of the number of cracks. The method has advantages over the usual because it is faster and less costly. The developed equipment consists of a rotating table (1), in an upright position, containing sample holders (2), in which specimens (3) are fixed, which are subjected to a thermal cycle. The heating of the specimens (3) is carried out by the use of oxy-acetylene torches (7), at the top of the turntable (1), perpendicular to the sample holders (2) and the cooling of the specimens test (3) is carried out in a reservoir (10) of circulating water, at the bottom of the turntable (1). The temperature of the specimens (3) and the temperature of the reservoir (10) are controlled by a CT1 temperature controller (9).
