Abstract
"FIOS E FIBRAS ACRìLICOS POROSOS, COM ELEVADO PODER DE RETENçãO DE áGUA E PROCESSO PARA SUA OBTENçãO." Refere-se a presente invenção a fios e fibras acrílicos porosos, com elevado poder de retenção de água, compreendido entre 20 a 50%, bem como à modificação do processo convencional para sua obtenção. Esses fios e fibras absorventes apresentam grande interesse na fabricação de roupas esportivas, roupas íntimas, toalhas, rolos para pintura, panos para limpeza etc. A modificação no processo consiste na adição de um segundo material polimérico à poliacrilonitrila, durante o processo de preparação da solução de fiação. Tais materiais podem ser poliacetato de vinila, ou acetato de celulose, ou poliestireno ou poliestireno/acrilonitrila, na forma de homopolímeros ou copolímeros, em proporção variando entre 1 e 20% da massa de polímero total. As fibras assim obtidas são utilizáveis sozinhas ou em mistura com outras fibras para aplicações têxteis. Elas se caracterizam fisicamente por apresentar uma baixa densidade e alta capacidade de absorção e de retenção de umidade, o que diminui o peso e a sensação de encharcamento da roupa, tornando-a muito mais confortável."POROUS ACRYLIC WIRES AND FIBERS, WITH HIGH WATER RETENTION POWER AND PROCESS FOR GETTING IT." The present invention refers to porous acrylic fibers and yarns, with high water retention power, comprised between 20 to 50%, as well as the modification of the conventional process to obtain them. These absorbent threads and fibers are of great interest in the manufacture of sportswear, underwear, towels, paint rollers, cleaning cloths, etc. The modification in the process consists of the addition of a second polymeric material to the polyacrylonitrile, during the process of preparing the spinning solution. Such materials may be vinyl polyacetate, or cellulose acetate, or polystyrene or polystyrene / acrylonitrile, in the form of homopolymers or copolymers, in a proportion varying between 1 and 20% of the total polymer mass. The fibers thus obtained are usable alone or in admixture with other fibers for textile applications. They are physically characterized by having a low density and high capacity for absorbing and retaining moisture, which reduces the weight and the feeling of soaking the clothing, making it much more comfortable.
