A presente invenção refere-se a um arranjo para a descarga de material em grumo, particularmente material em grumo que contenha óxido de ferro e/ou ferro esponja e que venha de um forno de cuba, particularmente de um forno de cuba de redução direta, em que o dispositivo de descarga compreende transportadores de parafuso que se projetam no forno de cuba acima do fundo do forno de cuba.
