Abstract

<B>MéTODO PARA ENCHIMENTO E REVESTIMENTO DE FIBRAS DE CELULOSE<D> óxidos de metal ou hidróxidos de metal, como dióxido de titânio, são incorporados em fibras de fabricação de papel por absorção de um composto organometálico nas paredes das fibras enquanto as fibras estão secas ou formadas em pasta com um solvente não-aquoso e posteriormente pelo contato das fibras que contêm éster com água para precipitar os óxidos de metal ou hidróxidos de metal. As fibras modificadas resultantes podem fornecer maior opacidade e outras propriedades aperfeiçoadas a papéis feitos de tais fibras.
