Abstract

Patente de Invenção: SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA DETECçãO E SELEçãO DE ANTENA MúLTIPLA. Um sistema e um método para selecionar e combinar sinais de comunicação de satélites provenientes de múltiplas antenas. O sistema inclui pelo menos duas trajetórias de sinal (550A, 550B), cada uma acoplada a uma antena separada (202A a 202N) e um combinador (430) para combinar sinais provenientes das duas trajetórias para processamento por um processador de sinal (216). Pelo menos uma das duas trajetórias (550A, 550B) inclui uma unidade de retardo de sinal (410A, 410B). O processador de sinais (216) pode distinguir um sinal recebido a partir de uma fonte através de uma das antenas (202A a 202N) daquele sinal recebido a partir da fonte através da outra antena com base em um retardo do sinal produzido pela unidade de retardo de sinal (410A, 410B). Cada trajetória de sinal (550) inclui um atenuador variável (526) para acoplar seletivamente cada trajetória de sinal (550) ao processador de sinal (216). O processador de sinal (216) determina a qualidade dos sinais recebidos ao longo das duas trajetórias de sinal (550) e provê dados referentes à qualidade dos sinais a uma processador de controle (220) que manipula os atenuadores para acoplar a trajetória de sinal (550) possuindo o sinal de maior qualidade ao processador de sinal (216).
