Processo para a diminuição do desenvolvimento e/ou aglomeração de hidratos em um fluido compreendendo água e gases, compreendendo a adição de inibidores do desenvolvimento e/ou aglomeração de hidrato de gás compreendendo um polímero essencialmente solúvel em água, caracterizado pelo fato de um número total de graus rotacionais de liberdade por unidade estatística repetida RDFTm de mais de 9, de preferência mais de 10, e um grau de polimerização DP de uma unidade estatística repetida estar na faixa de 18/RDFTm a 200.000, de preferência na faixa de 20/RDFTm a 100.000. O(s) inibidor(es) do desenvolvimento e/ou aglomeração é/são geralmente incorporados no fluido a ser tratado em uma concetração de 0,05% a 5% em pesocom relação à quantidade de água presente no meio.
