Abstract
"TRANSCEPTOR DE FIBRA óTICA PARA COMUNICAçãO DE DADOS". Um transceptor de fibra ótica recebe de, e transmite para, um dispositivo terminal eletrónico associadom, tal como um relé de proteção, sinais digitais de dados. Transceptores de fibra ótica podem ser posicionados em externos opostos de uma linha de fibra ótica. Potência para cada transceptor é obtida a partir de seu dispositivo eletrónico associado. O transceptor inclui uma seção transmissora, uma seção receptora, uma seção de regulação mútua para fornecer realimentação de sinais de controle que podem ser requeridos pelo dispositivo terminal eletrónico associado, e uma seção de fornecimento de voltagem. Um arranjo específico de codificação ótica é utilizado para converter o sinal de dados a partir do dispositivo terminal para uma série de pulsos óticos, no qual um par de pulsos óticos que representam uma margem ascendente do sinal digital de dados a partir do dispositivo eletrónico, enquanto um pulso simples representa a margem descendente do sinal de dados. Pares adicionais de pulsos e pulsos simples podem seguir o pulso inicial, dependendo do comprimento das porções alta e/ou baixa do sinal de dados.
