O artigo possui uma resistência à ruptura de placa paralela de pelo menos 762 cm (300 polegadas) de água, mais preferivelmente de cerca de 762 a 5080 cm (300 a 2000 polegadas) de água. A película compreende uma ou mais dentre uma ampla variedade de polímeros, com o polietileno de baixa densidade linear sendo um polímero preferido.
