''SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA A SINTETIZAçãO DE VìDEO TRIDIMENSIONAL A PARTIR DE UMA FONTE DE VìDEO BIDIMENSIONAL'' A presente invenção é direcionada a sistemas e métodos para a sintetização de um fluxo de vídeo tridimensional a partir de uma fonte de vídeo bidimensional. Um quadro (48) da fonte de vídeo bidimensional é digitalizado (50) e dividido (54) em uma pluralidade de campos (56, 58). Cada campo contém uma porção da informação no quadro. Os campos são então separadamente processados e transformados (60, 62) para introduzir indícios visuais que, quando montados com os outros campos, serão interpretados por um espectador como uma imagem tridimensional. Tais transformações podem incluir, mas não são limitadas a, transformação de distorção, transformações de mudança, e transformações de dimensionamento. As transformações podem ser executadas na dimensão horizontal, na dimensão vertical, ou uma combinação de ambas. Em muitas configurações, a transformação e nova montagem dos campos transformados é executada dentro de um único quadro, de forma que nenhuma mudança temporal é introduzida ou utilizada para criar o fluxo de vídeo tridimensional sintetizado. Depois que o fluxo de vídeo tridimensional foi sintetizado, ele é exibido em um dispositivo de exibição apropriado.
