Abstract

"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA FAZER PREFORMAS A PARTIR DE MATERIAL TRANçADO DE FIBRA DE VIDRO". A presente invenção é direcionado a um método e aparelho (100) para formar uma preforma (10) a partir de material trançado de fibra de vidro. A preforma é formada alimentando material trançado de fibra de vidra contínua em um molde (20) para formar um produto de lã contínuo no molde; alimentar um aglutinante no molde; comprimir o molde para compactar o produto de lã a uma densidade desejada; e aquecer o molde para curar o aglutinante, tal que uma preforma é formada possuindo geralmente o formato do molde comprimido. O molde é então aberto e a preforma é removida do molde.
