Abstract

"APLICADOR DE DOSAGEM DE AGENTE BACTERICIDA TENDO UMA VIDA DE PRATELEIRA AUMENTADA, E, PROCESSOS PARA PREPARAR O MESMO E PARA PREPARAR UMA UNIDADE DE DOSAGEM". é divulgado um aplicador de dose única de gluconato de cloro-hexadina (CHG) em que uma dose única de CHG é contida em uma ampola de vidro hermecitamente selada esmagável manualmente que possui um volume interno de CHG. O CHG na ampola possui uma vida de prateleira efetiva de pelo menos 24 meses. A ampola de vidro do aplicador é preferivelmente protegida por uma cobertura flexível para proteger a mão do usuário durante a quebra manual da ampola para libertar o CHG da mesma. Em um forma de realização da invenção, uma ampola de vidro cilíndrica é alojada dentro de uma cobertura tubular de resina sintética flexível que possui um esfregador de aplicação poroso em uma extremidade do mesmo. Na quebra da ampola de vidro, o CHG liberado da mesma impregna o esfregador permitindo o usuário espalhar o CHG através da área a ser desinfectada. Em uma segunda forma de realização da invenção, a ampola de vidro cilíndrica é recebida em um estojo semicilíndrico, aberto do lado, tendo uma porção flangeada que fixa peças de aperto da esponja na ampola permitindo que o usuário quebre a ampola, apertando as peças uma contra a outra, fazendo com que o CHG seja liberado da ampola e impregne o esfregador esponjoso. O esfregador embebido com o CHG anti-séptico pode ser esfregado na área a ser desinfectada.
