As novas composições RC apresentam a propriedade de ser capaz de proporcionar as desejáveis funcionalidades aos alimentos, enquanto usando teores significativamente menores do que os tipicamente necessários para os aditivos alimentares com base em celulose convencional para proporcionar funcionalidades similares.Invention Patent: <B> "FOOD PRODUCTS CONTAINING BACTERIAL CELLULOSIS" <D>. Methods and compositions are provided for the production of consumables, including food products, using the new bacterially produced crosslinked cellulose (RC) compositions. The new RC compositions have the property of being able to provide desirable functionalities to foods, while using significantly lower levels than those typically required for conventional cellulose based food additives to provide similar functionalities.
