Abstract

A linear gauging head, or cartridge head, comprises a cylindrical casing (1), a spindle (10) movable with respect to the casing (1) along a longitudinal axis, guide devices (18,19) guiding the movements of the spindle (10), a feeler (12) coupled to a first end of the spindle (10) and a differential position transducer with coil windings (13,14,15), fixed with respect to casing (1), and a ferromagnetic core (16) coupled to a second end of spindle (10). Spacer elements (31) and a clamping ring nut (32) removably coupled to an end portion of the casing (1) define and lock the position of the guide devices (18,19) inside the casing. <IMAGE>
