Abstract
Relatório Descritivo da Patente de Invenção para <B>"APARELHO PARA MEDIçãO DA CONCENTRAçãO DE FIBRAS PRESENTES NO AR"<D>. Esta invenção fornece aparelhos e métodos para medir a concentração de fibras presentes no ar em uma amostra de ar contendo fibra. O aparelho pré-citado inclui meios de escoamento para fornecer um escoamento laminar a pelo menos uma parte das fibras na amostra de ar. Estas fibras em escoamento laminar são então iluminadas por uma fonte luminosa para produzir uma luz espalhada. Uma parte da luz espalhada é então sensibilizada para produzir um sinal de saída de onde uma estimativa da concentração da fibra pode ser medida. Adicionalmente, aparelhos de separação podem ser usados para pré-selecionar fibras com tamanho particular, de forma a medir somente fibras respiráveis, por exemplo. Esta invenção fornece uma forma sem custo de medição de fibras respiráveis em um ambiente de trabalho, tais como isolamento de vidro ou cómodos acarpetados. Em uma forma mais detalhada desta invenção, um aparelho é fornecido para uma análise do ar contendo fibras respiráveis e não respiráveis, ou matéria particularmente não fibrosa, ou ambas. Este aparelho inclui meios de separação para remover seletivamente as fibras respiráveis das não respiráveis para produzir uma amostra de ar filtrada contendo fibras respiráveis coligadas.
