Abstract

1. A method of mechanically producing masonry wall elements (26) using building blocks (A, B) and mortar, wherein the building blocks (A, B) are fed from at least one feeder surface (7) to an assembly surface of a lining-up station (1), where they are lined up in rows and from where they are transported in cyclic fashion by a transportation device (10) to a horizontal pallet (2) where they are arranged in the bond in accordance with the shape of the wall element (26) so as to form horizontal mortar joints (D), whereupon the mortar joints (D) are filled with mortar, characterised in that to produce a self-supporting stretching bond, building blocks in the form of half and whole stretchers (A, B) are used, where the whole stretchers (B) contain a central hole and along their two narrow sides contain openings which extend in parallel to the central hole, the stretchers (A, B) are fed from the minimum of one feeder surface (7) in cyclic fashion in their sequence in the layers (C) of the stretching bond to the assembly surface which is in the form of a sorting surface (8) where they are lined up in this sequence before being transported in cyclic fashion to the pallet (2), the stretchers (A, B) are lined up on the pallet (2) forming vertical pressure joints whereby the central holes and the openings in the whole stretchers (B) of consecutive layers (C) from continuous holes into which steel bolts are inserted at least partially, and that after the mortaring of the horizontal mortar joints (D), in a tilting station (5) the pallet (2) together with the wall element (26) is tilted into a vertical position whereupon the lateral form wall located below the wall element (26) is separated from the pallet and remains under the wall element (26) whilst the pallet (2), having been tilted back into its horizontal position, is moved back in front of the sorting surface (8).
