são fornecidas neste documento cepas de methylobacterium que intensificam o crescimento inicial das plantas, melhoram o vigor da propagação/transplante, aumentam a absorção de nutrientes, melhoram o estabelecimento do estande, melhoram a tolerância ao estresse e/ou aumentam a capacidade de uma planta utilizar nutrientes. também são fornecidos métodos para identificar cepas de methylobacterium que melhoram a eficiência do uso de nitrogênio em várias plantas de cultura.
