Abstract
SISTEMAS E MÉTODOS PARA ECONOMIA DE ENERGIA EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAÇÃO SEM FIO. Espera-se que os requisitos de energia dos equipamentos do usuário (UEs) aumentem à medida que suas capacidades aumentam. Alguns métodos de economia de energia foram propostos anteriormente, mas são limitados pelo protocolo de controle de recurso de rádio (RRC) e não abordam o consumo de energia associado à transição entre diferentes estados de RRC. Em algumas modalidades descritas neste documento, não existem diferentes estados RRC, mas sim um único estado RRC. Dentro desse único estado RRC, existem diferentes modos operacionais, por exemplo, um modo operacional de baixa energia padrão e um modo operacional de energia aprimorado. Em algumas modalidades, o UE comuta do modo operacional padrão para o modo operacional aprimorado sob demanda (por exemplo, com base na capacidade de comunicação exigida pelo UE) e, em seguida, retorna ao modo operacional padrão.
