Abstract

SISTEMAS, DISPOSITIVOS E MÉTODOS PARA ADICIONAR CAPACIDADE A UMA REDE DE FIBRA ÓPTICA. Um método para aumentar a capacidade de uma rede óptica passiva. A rede óptica passiva inclui um terminal multisserviço existente com uma pluralidade de portas drop de fibra óptica reforçadas e também inclui um terminal de linha óptica que fornece serviço ao terminal multisserviço existente. O método inclui a atualização do terminal de linha óptica para suportar pelo menos 10GPON e aumentar a potência de inicialização e aprimorar a sensibilidade à perda. O método também inclui adicionar um splitter óptico passivo entre o terminal de linha óptica e o terminal multisserviço existente, conectar o terminal multisserviço existente à uma primeira saída do splitter óptico passivo e conectar um terminal multisserviço de expansão à uma segunda saída do splitter óptico passivo.
