Abstract

FORMULAÇÃO PLÁSTICA DE LIBERAÇÃO ESTENDIDA. Trata-se de um material plástico para liberação estendida de um agente bioativo, sendo que o material plástico compreende um polímero estrutural, pelo menos um ingrediente bioativo embutido dentro do polímero estrutural como ilhas sólidas, um material de ligação de líquido embutido dentro do polímero estrutural como grânulos, e um líquido carreador absorvido dentro do material absorvente líquido. O líquido carreador pode ser suficientemente não compatível com o polímero estrutural de modo que pelo menos uma porção do líquido carreador seja liberada do material absorvente líquido através do polímero estrutural a uma superfície externa do material plástico por um período de tempo, tal como uma semana ou mais, um mês ou mais, ou cerca de três meses. O agente bioativo compreendido no pelo menos um ingrediente bioativo pode ser suficientemente solúvel no líquido carreador em temperatura ambiente ou corporal, de modo que o líquido carreador liberado à superfície externa compreenda o agente bioativo em solução.
