Abstract

A presente invenção refere-se a grupo de geração de energia flutuante que compreende cubo flutuante tal como bóia spar que é ancorada a fundações submarinas por linhas de ancoragem. Unidades produtoras de energia flutuante, tais como turbinas eólicas, são conectadas eletricamente e mecanicamente ao cubo. As unidades produtoras de energia são, cada uma, amarradas por linhas de amarração. Pelo menos uma linha de amarração se estende para dentro em direção ao cubo para efetuar conexão mecânica ao cubo e pelo menos uma outra linha de amarração se estende para fora em direção a uma fundação submarina. Linhas de ancoragem de diferentes grupos podem compartilhar fundações submarinas. As unidades de armazenamento compreendem maquinária de bombeamento para expelir água de um volume de armazenamento alongado e maquinaria de geração para gerar eletricidade a partir de um fluxo de água que entra no volume de armazenamento. A maquinaria de bombeamento pode estar em águas mais profundas do que a maquinaria de geração.
