Abstract

A presente invenção refere-se à manufatura de tubos revestidos bimetálicos. Uma luva de revestimento é fixada dentro de um tubo hospedeiro de um tubo revestido bimetálico por acionamento de uma ferramenta de soldagem por agitação sob atrito em rotação pela luva de revestimento, mas não pela espessura de parede total do tubo hospedeiro. Isso forma uma zona soldada afetada termomecanicamente, na qual o metal da luva de revestimento é ligado com algum metal do tubo hospedeiro. O movimento relativo, entre a ferramenta em rotação e o tubo revestido, estende a zona soldada ao longo de uma rota de soldagem. Quando o tubo está revestido mecanicamente, a zona soldada se estende ao longo de uma região externa não ligada previamente, que se estende longitudinalmente de uma região interna, na qual a luva de revestimento é ligada mecanicamente ao tubo hospedeiro.
