processo para enriquecimento de carotenoides em uma composição de ácido graxo. um método para produzir uma composição de ácido graxo enriquecido com carotenoides inclui: reagir um óleo incluindo ácidos graxos livres e carotenoides com uma solução básica; retirar, separadamente do óleo, uma solução de extração incluindo pelo menos uma porção de ácidos graxos livres, pelo menos uma porção de carotenoides e a solução básica; acidificar a solução de extração para produzir uma fase aquosa e uma fase de ácido graxo, a fase de ácido graxo incluindo os ácidos graxos livres e os carotenoides da solução de extração; e separar a fase de ácido graxo da fase aquosa.
