elemento de aquecimento, sistema e método para fundir materiais usando o referido elemento de aquecimento. a presente invenção refere-se a um elemento de aquecimento para uso em um sistema para fundir materiais durante a produção de um material de vidro ou cerâmico. um método para fundir materiais durante a produção de um material de vidro ou cerâmico também é divulgado. o elemento de aquecimento compreende um primeiro membro de acoplamento configurado para acoplar a um primeiro lado do interior de um tanque de fusão; um segundo membro de acoplamento configurado para acoplar a um segundo lado do interior do tanque de fusão; e pelo menos uma tira alongada que se estende entre o primeiro membro de acoplamento e o segundo membro de acoplamento. a pelo menos uma tira alongada é parte integrante do primeiro membro de acoplamento e do segundo membro de acoplamento. o elemento de aquecimento é configurado de modo que, durante uma operação de aquecimento, a corrente flua entre o primeiro membro de acoplamento e o segundo membro de acoplamento do elemento de aquecimento, ao longo de pelo menos uma tira alongada para, desse modo, irradiar calor para materiais localizados dentro do interior do tanque de fusão.
