são descritos sistemas e métodos para lidar com falhas em sistemas convencionais corrigindo-se um termo errôneo no texto de legenda na tela para um ativo de mídia. em alguns aspectos, os sistemas e métodos identificam o termo errôneo em um segmento de texto do texto de legenda na tela, e identificam um ou mais quadros de vídeo do ativo de mídia que correspondem ao segmento de texto. os sistemas e métodos identificam adicionalmente um termo contextual relacionado ao termo errôneo a partir de um ou mais quadros de vídeo. ao acessar um gráfico de conhecimento, os sistemas e métodos identificam uma correção candidata com base no termo contextual e uma porção do segmento de texto. por fim, os sistemas e métodos substituem o termo errôneo pela correção candidata.
