Abstract

métodos exemplificativos para uso na identificação de cruzamentos para uso em melhoramento de plantas são divulgados. um método exemplificativo inclui a seleção de um subgrupo de possíveis cruzamentos, com base nos limiares associados às pontuações de predição de população para o conjunto de possíveis cruzamentos. o método exemplificativo inclui ainda selecionar vários cruzamentos alvo a partir do subgrupo de possíveis cruzamentos com base em um parentesco genético dos progenitores no subgrupo de possíveis cruzamentos, filtrar os cruzamentos alvo com base em uma regra (ou regras) que definam um limiar (ou limiares) para pelo menos uma característica e/ou traço, selecionar os cruzamentos alvo filtrados com base no risco associado ao cruzamento selecionado dentre os cruzamentos alvo filtrados, e direcionar os cruzamentos selecionados dentre os cruzamentos alvo filtrados para um pipeline de melhoramento, desse modo, fornecendo cruzamentos para o pipeline de melhoramento com base, pelo menos em parte, no sucesso comercial dos progenitores incluídos nos cruzamentos selecionados dentre os cruzamentos filtrados.
