Abstract
um método para a implantação de comprimentos discretos de tubos de ligação flexíveis (1, 3) para instalação submarina é revelado, que compreende acoplar os tubos de ligação (jumper pipes) juntos, de ponta a ponta, formando assim um trem flexível (flexible train) de tubos de ligação, e enrolar o trem de tubos de ligação em um tambor (7) adequado para transportar até um local de implantação através de um navio de assentamento de tubo (pipe-laying vessel). no local, o trem de tubos de ligação é desenrolado do tambor até que o primeiro tubo de ligação seja baixado para o mar, então o tambor é parado e a extremidade traseira (2) do primeiro tubo de ligação (1) é destacada da extremidade dianteira (2?) do segundo tubo de ligação (3) no trem de tubos de ligação. a extremidade traseira (2) do primeiro tubo de ligação (1) é deslocada para um fio de descida (17) e o primeiro tubo de ligação é baixado para o fundo do mar. o processo é repetido até que os comprimentos discretos dos tubos de ligação sejam individualmente baixados para o mar.
