elemento de segurança compreendendo um primeiro material mat1 e um segundo material mat2 formados em ou sobre um substrato, de tal forma que as áreas ocupadas pelo mat1 e mat2 se sobreponham parcial ou totalmente, o primeiro material mat1 compreendendo um pigmento fosforescente (doador), o segundo material mat2 compreendendo um corante ou pigmento fluorescente (receptor), em que o pigmento fosforescente presente no mat1 é capaz de emitir radiação de fosforescência em pelo menos uma primeira faixa de comprimento de onda de emissão de fosforescência ¿1e, mediante excitação por radiação eletromagnética, ficando dentro de uma faixa de comprimento de onda de excitação de fosforescência ¿1a, e o corante ou pigmento fluorescente presente no mat2 é capaz de emitir radiação de fluorescência em pelo menos uma segunda faixa de comprimento de onda de emissão de fluorescência ¿2e, mediante excitação por radiação eletromagnética, ficando dentro de uma faixa de comprimento de onda de excitação de fluorescência ¿2a do corante ou pigmento fluorescente, e dita primeira faixa de comprimento de onda de emissão de fosforescência ¿1e do pigmento fosforescente presente no mat1 se sobrepõe à faixa de comprimento de onda de excitação ¿2a do corante ou pigmento fluorescente presente no mat2, de modo que, após a irradiação do elemento de segurança com a radiação eletromagnética dentro da faixa de comprimento de onda de excitação de fosforescência ¿1a, a emissão de radiação de fluorescência na faixa de comprimento de onda de emissão ¿2e seja observável.
