Abstract
são fornecidos métodos que facilitam a seleção de uma estrutura de filme para uso em uma embalagem. em um aspecto, um método de seleção de uma estrutura de filme para uso em uma embalagem compreende determinar uma direção de impacto crítico de uma embalagem por meio de análise de método elementar finito (fem), em que a embalagem possui um volume predeterminado, uma forma predeterminada e um material de preenchimento predeterminado; determinando uma ou mais propriedades de tração desejadas de uma estrutura de filme para usar na embalagem com base na direção de impacto crítico, em que a ou as propriedades de tração desejadas compreendem pelo menos uma de tenacidade na direção da máquina, tenacidade na direção transversal, alongamento na ruptura na direção da máquina, alongamento na ruptura na direção transversal, tensão na ruptura na direção da máquina e tensão na ruptura na direção transversal; e selecionar uma estrutura de filme com base em uma ou mais propriedades de tração desejadas.
