Abstract
a presente invenção se refere a uma solução de alcanolamina aquosa demonstrando baixa volatilidade compreendendo 2-dimetilamino-2-hidroximetil-1,3-propanodiol útil para a remoção de gases ácidos a partir de misturas gasosas. a referida solução de alcanolamina aquosa pode ainda compreender um ou mais de um ácido ou composto de formação de ácido, outro composto amino, um ativador, um solvente físico, ou um ou mais outros compostos utilizados em práticas de tratamento gás-líquido. além disso, a presente invenção se refere a um processo para remover gases ácidos de uma mistura gasosa, preferencialmente sulfeto de hidrogênio, compreendendo a etapa de contatar a mistura gasosa com a referida solução de alcanolamina aquosa. exemplos de misturas gasosas incluem gás natural, gás de síntese, gás residual e gás de refinaria.
