Abstract

a presente invenção se refere a um processo para lixiviação de sulfetos secundários e primários de cobre em um meio de cloreto ferroso com bactérias oxidantes de ferro adaptadas a partir do esmagamento do mineral proveniente da mina, compreendendo as etapas de: misturar o mineral proveniente do esmagamento com ácido sulfúrico concentrado; transportar o material misturado com ácido sulfúrico por meio de uma correia; adicionar uma solução de lixiviação líquida num ponto intermediário durante o transporte na correia, sendo a referida solução constituída por: sulfato ferroso, para reduzir o potencial redox da mistura solução-mineral para valores inferiores a 550 mv ag/agcl; sulfato férrico; bactérias e archaea do tipo mesófilo e termófilo pertencentes aos gêneros acidithiobacillus, leptospirillum e sulfulobos, previamente adaptados em uma planta anexa de biorreator; cloreto de sódio para produzir um ambiente clorado em soluções. posteriormente tem-se a etapa de amontoar o material em plataformas de amontoamento para repousar durante um período específico de tempo, dependendo da composição mineralógica do material ou das condições de funcionamento da planta; injetar ar aquecido por um sistema de troca de líquido/ar, na etapa de repouso, através de ventiladores na parte inferior da pilha; e lixiviação do material amontoado por meio de um fluxo de soluções com baixo teor de ácido sulfúrico, com íon férrico, que contribuem para a realização do segundo passo de solubilização dos sulfetos de cobre.
