a invenção diz respeito a uma rede de distribuição provida com sensores. o método inclui as seguintes etapas: adquirir para cada sensor uma série temporal de medições físicas separadas por intervalos de tempo; definir janelas de tempo, cada qual correspondendo a uma pluralidade de intervalos de tempo sucessivos; extrair características operacionais de cada série temporal em cada janela de tempo; formar, para cada janela de tempo, pelo menos um vetor atual tendo como coordenadas as características operacionais, dados estruturais relativos à rede e características temporárias específicas para a janela de tempo; comparar o vetor atual com vetores anteriores, correspondentes a janelas de tempo anteriores, e no qual as características conjunturais e dados estruturais são similares àqueles do vetor atual; e reportar uma anomalia se o vetor atual diferir significativamente dos vetores anteriores.
