Abstract

SISTEMA E MÉTODO PARA MEDIR UMA TAXA DE ERROS DE UMA REDE DE ÁREA LOCAL SEM FIOS. As formas de realização aqui descritas referem-se de uma forma geral a uma comunicação entre um gerenciador de elementos e um ponto de acesso (AP) de rede de área local sem fios (WLAN). O AP de WLAN pode ser configurado com um ou mais contadores. O(s) um ou mais contadores pode(m) medir eventos, tais como a transmissão e/ou recepção de dados no AP de WLAN, ou um procedimento de acesso múltiplo com sensoriamento da portadora e prevenção de colisão (CSMA/CA) pelo AP de WLAN. O gerenciador de elementos pode ser configurado para ler um ou mais destes contadores e computar um ou mais valores com base nos valores lidos a partir dos um ou mais contadores.
