Abstract

ESQUEMA DE LOCALIZAÇÃO USANDO ASSINATURAS DE ULTRASSONS EMITIDAS A PARTIR DE DISPOSITIVO DE CONFIANÇA. A presente invenção se refere em geral a um esquema de localização que pode usar assinaturas de ultrassons trocadas entre dispositivos de confiança para localizar dispositivos perdidos ou de outra forma desaparecidos. Mais particularmente, um dispositivo de usuário pode inicialmente trocar uma assinatura de ultrassons ou outra assinatura de áudio inaudível com um dispositivo de confiança (por exemplo, durante um procedimento de emparelhamento com o dispositivo de confiança) e, subsequentemente, buscar um domínio de ultrassom em resposta à detecção de um estado inativo (por exemplo, baseado em medições que indicam movimento imposto ou atividade do processador). Como tal, em resposta à detecção da assinatura de ultrassons inicialmente trocada no domínio de ultrassom, que pode ser emitida a partir do dispositivo de confiança ou um dispositivo desemparelhado que tenha sido autorizado a emitir a assinatura de ultrassons, o dispositivo de usuário pode gerar uma notificação sonora ou visual em um domínio de usuário e ainda permitir, opcionalmente, tarefas mais sofisticadas de notificação e localização de usuário para ajudar a localizar o dispositivo de usuário.
