Abstract

trata-se de um pistão sem galeria para um motor de combustão interna e um método de construção do mesmo. o pistão tem um corpo de pistão monolítico que se estende ao longo de um eixo geométrico longitudinal central. o corpo de pistão tem uma parede superior que forma uma superfície de combustão superior com primeira e segunda porções, em que a primeira porção se estende de maneira anular ao longo de uma periferia exterior da parede superior e a segunda porção forma uma cuba de combustão. a parede superior tem uma superfície de coroa ínfera em um lado ínfero da cuba de combustão diretamente oposta à segunda porção da superfície de combustão superior. a superfície de coroa ínfera tem uma área de superfície bidimensional abertamente exposta, conforme visto mediante observação ao longo do eixo geométrico longitudinal central, entre cerca de 35 a 60 por cento de uma área definida por um diâmetro exterior máximo do corpo de pistão, desse modo, fornecendo uma área expansiva com a qual o óleo que é respingado ou aspergido pode entrar em contato livremente para resfriar o pistão.
