é descrito um método executado por um sistema de estação base de uma rede de comunicação sem fio, para aumentar a qualidade de sinal de sinais enviados a partir de um cabeçote de rádio, rh (21) para uma unidade de rádio, ru (10) através de um condutor metálico (40). o sistema de estação base compreendendo uma unidade de banda base, bbu (40), a ru e o rh, e a ru está conectada ao rh via condutor metálico. o método compreende, no rh, amplificar (102), por uma unidade de amplificação, um sinal a ser transmitido do rh para a ru, alterar (104) o nível de amplificação de sinal da unidade de amplificação; e transmitir (108) o sinal amplificado à ru. o método compreende adicionalmente, na ru, receber (114), o sinal amplificado e compensar (116), por uma unidade de compensação capaz de adaptar seu nível de amplificação, para a alteração no nível de amplificação de sinal executada no rh, de tal modo que a força do sinal é transparente para o sistema de estação base.
