Método para tratar um furo de poço penetrando em uma formação subterrânea, compreendendo: prover um solvente de asfalteno, em que o solvente de asfalteno compreende pelo menos 75% mol de dimetil sulfeto, e introduzir o solvente de asfalteno no furo de poço.
