Abstract

AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE SEAT, AND, AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE The invention relates to an automotive vehicle seat (51) comprising a seat (52) and a backrest (53), each comprising a frame structure, a trim and an external cover ( 58). According to the invention, the seat comprises at least one belt (62) whose first end is fixed to the frame structure of the seat or backrest and whose second end protrudes out of the outer cover of the seat or backrest, through a passage opening made in it.

Description

AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE SEAT, AND, AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLE TECHNICAL FIELD RELATED TO THE INVENTION

The present invention relates in a general way to the automotive area.

It refers more particularly to an automotive vehicle seat comprising a seat and a backrest, each comprising a frame structure, a trim and an external cover.

It also refers to an automotive vehicle comprising a chassis on which a seat as mentioned above is mounted.

TECHNOLOGICAL BACKGROUND

During a considerable braking or accident, there is a risk that objects in the trunk of an automotive vehicle will violently hit passengers in that vehicle. When these objects are weighed, it then proves to be preferable to fix them in the trunk of the vehicle.

This problem is particularly noticeable in vehicles with three rows of seats, in which the seats in the middle row can close against the front seats and in which the seats in the rear row are retractable in order to free up maximum space in the trunk.

In fact, when transporting heavy objects, the rear row seats are generally retractable and placed on one side of the trunk, and they become potentially dangerous for passengers.

The need to fix them in the trunk then presents two problems for the user.
The first problem is to find a suitable means of attachment, such as a strap.
The second problem, then, is to find anchor points to securely fix that strap to the trunk.

Since no suitable fastening means and no adapted anchoring means are provided for in the trunk, the result obtained is generally not optimized being impractical.

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

In order to remedy the aforementioned drawbacks of the state of the art, the present invention proposes a new automotive vehicle seat, which facilitates the fixing of any element in the trunk of the vehicle.

More particularly, it is proposed, according to the invention, a seat as defined in the introduction, in which at least one belt is provided, of which a first end is fixed to the frame structure of the seat or backrest and in which a second end protrudes out of the outer cover, through a through opening made in it.

Thanks to the invention, the belt is always within reach of the user, in a known position. The first end of this strap is, moreover, already firmly attached to the frame structure of the seat, which facilitates the anchoring operations of elements in the trunk of the vehicle.

Thus, the ease of use of the belt encourages the user to use it more frequently, for the sake of their safety.

The description that follows with respect to the attached drawings, given by way of non-limiting examples, will do well to understand what the invention consists of and how it can be carried out.

In Figure 1, a chassis 2 and seats 11, 31, 51 of a motor vehicle 1 have been schematically represented. The chassis 2 has a classic shape, with one end located on the hood side of the vehicle and an opposite end located on the side of the door. of the vehicle.

After the description, the terms "front" and "rear" will then designate respectively the seat located on the side of the hood and that located on the side of the trunk of that vehicle 1.

In this Figure 1, seats 11, 31, 51 are represented in a position of use, that is to say in a position allowing a passenger to sit.
They are mounted on chassis 2 on three rows 10, 30, 50.

A first front row 10 with at least one front seat 11 is distinguished, a third rear row 50 with at least one rear seat 51, and a second intermediate row 30, located between the first front row 10 and the third rear row 50 , which includes at least one intermediate seat 31.

As best shown in Figure 7, two separate front seats 11, two rear seats 51 joined together to form a rear seat, and three intermediate seats 31 which are joined and a third is distinct from the first two.

As shown in Figure 1, each seat 11, 31, 51 here includes a seat 12, 32, 52 and a backrest 13, 33, 53 connected together by means of articulation 14, 34, 54 as well as a headrest 16, 36, 56 adjustable in height.

As shown in Figure 10, the seat 12, 32, 52 and the backrest 13, 33, 53 of each backrest 11, 31, 51 contain a frame structure 55, a trim (not shown) and an outer cover 58. The frame frame 55 here comprises a metal tube bent to form a frame. The lining is formed here by a solid foam retained in position of the frame structure 55. The outer cover 58 is as far as it is made of fabric in order to aesthetically cover the lining.

As best shown in Figure 7, the articulation means 14 of the front seats 11 make it possible to adjust the inclination of the backrests 13 in relation to the seats 12.

The articulation means 34, 54 of the intermediate seats 31 and the rear seats 51 allow themselves to bend the backrests 33, 53 on the seats 32, 52, like a wallet (see Figure 4), in order to free up space in the door automotive vehicle wings 1.

The intermediate seats 31 are mounted on oscillating furniture on the chassis 2, with the help of pivot means 35, so that they can be lowered in a position to hold luggage, called “cinema position”, against the front seats 11 (see Figure 2) .

The rear seats 51 are detachable from the chassis in order to free up space in the trunk of the automotive vehicle 1. For this, they include feet that are fixed to the frame structure 55 of their seats 52 and locking means to lock and unlock at will feet relative to chassis 2, preferably without a tool.

According to a particularly advantageous feature of the invention, each rear seat 51 comprises at least one belt 62 whose first end 63 (Figure 10) is attached to the frame structure 55 of its seat 52 or its backrest 53, and whose one second end 64 (Figure 11) projects out of the outer cover 58, through a through opening 59 made therein.

Each belt 62 is more precisely fixed by its first end 63 to the lower crosspiece of the frame structure 55 of the backrest 53, by means of screwing or gluing, and project outwards by the rear face of the backrest 53 of the rear seat 51.

The straps 62 of the two rear seats 51 can thus be used either to fix objects against the backrests 53 of the rear seats 51, or to fix the rear seats 51 themselves in the trunk of the vehicle, as will be described in more detail following this presentation. .

Here, advantageously, as shown more particularly in Figures 11 and 12, the outer cover 58 of the backrest 53 of each seat 51 comprises a pocket-type pocket 57, which allows to adjust the belt 62 discreetly in order to prevent it from deteriorating when it is out of use.

This pouch-like pocket 57 is located behind the backrest 53.
It consists of a fabric pocket whose opening is sewn along the edges of a slit 57A cut horizontally in the fabric of the outer cover 58 of the backrest 53.

In order to prevent the pocket-type pocket 57 from leaving the slot 57A, the edges and bottom of this pocket-type pocket 57 are sewn here on the outer cover 58 of the backrest 53.

The through opening 59 of the belt 62 is then preferably located in this pouch-like pocket 57, which facilitates the storage of the belt 62 and which allows the through opening 59 to be hidden.

As seen in Figure 12, the belt 62 is, moreover, equipped with stop means 65 that allow the latter to completely enter the interior of the rear seat 51, on which occasion the user could no longer have access.

In this case, these stop means 65 are formed by a small simple plastic bar molded on the belt, the length of which is greater than the largest dimension of the through opening 59 so that it is retained inside the pocket-like pocket 57 by the edge of that opening passing 59.

Here, the straps 62 are more particularly designed to, when the rear seats 51 have been folded and dissociated from the chassis 2, lock them against the intermediate seats 31 after the latter have been placed in a position to hold luggage (see Figure 7).

They are more precisely designed to participate in the blocking of seats 51 against intermediate seats 31, in reverse position from each other, seat 52 against seat 32, in such a way that the headrests 56 of the two rear seats 31 are respectively positioned behind of the head restraints 16 of the front seats 11, at a distance of less than one meter.

Thus, the straps 62 make it possible to block not only the rear seats 51, but also the intermediate seats 31 which are then retained in sandwich form between the front seats 11 and the rear seats 51.

Advantageously, in order to facilitate the positioning of the seats 51 in an inverse position against the intermediate seats 31 and to participate in the locking of the seats in that position, it is envisaged that each rear seat 51 comprises at least one hook 61.

These hooks 61 are fixed here to the rear seats 51 in such a way that, when the rear seats 51 are in the position of use (Figure 1), they protrude behind and below the chassis 2.

As shown in Figure 8, these hooks 61 are identical and consist of U-curved bars so as to have two parallel branches next to each other.

One end of each hook 61, the one located on the side of the free ends of the U branches, is then covered to be welded on an axis 54A belonging to the articulation means 54 of the rear seats 51.

Another end of each hook 61, the one located on the side of the U base, is also covered in order to allow the hook 61 to be able to secure a corresponding part of the intermediate seats 31.

In practice, to secure this corresponding part of the intermediate seats 3, it is necessary to start by folding then lowering those intermediate seats 31 in a position to store luggage (Figure 2).

It is then necessary to fold the rear seats 51 into a seat, then dissociate them from the chassis 2 (Figure 3), handling their locking means.

Finally, it is necessary to change the rear seats 51 forward, to make them perform a simple rotation (Figures 4 and 5), in such a way that their hooks 61 will naturally attach an axle 35A belonging to the pivot means 35 of the intermediate seats 31 (Figures 9 and 12).

The straps 62 are then designed to bring the rear seats 51 against the intermediate seats 31 (Figure 6), making them rotate around the 35A axle, then to keep them in this position for storing luggage.

Each belt 62 comprises tensioning means. Here, these tensioning means comprise a levered latch mechanism, which is attached to the belt 62 at a distance from its free end 64.

The belt 62 is, in fact, of such a length that, when the rear seats 51 were attached to the axis 35A of the intermediate seats 31 and that they are still placed on the chassis 2 (Figure 5), it is possible to pass this belt 62 around of the head restraint of the front seat 11 after fitting its free end 64 into the tongue mechanism.

Thus, it is possible to progressively swing the rear seats 51 towards its position for storing luggage, in support against the intermediate seats 31, tensioning the straps 62 thanks to the tongue mechanisms.

The effort required to pivot the rear seats 51 in a position to store luggage is therefore reduced, and changing the configuration of the seats in the vehicle 1 proves to be particularly easy.

To re-install the seats 31, 51 in the position of use, only the reverse is necessary, progressively detaching the straps 62 so that the rear seats 51 re-swing backwards.

A handle advantageously located on the rear seat bench 51 then allows the rear seats 51 to be easily rotated backwards in order to be able to lock them again on the chassis 2 of the vehicle 1, in position of use.

The present invention is not limited in relation to the described embodiment, but the skilled person will be able to introduce another variant according to his knowledge.

It would be possible, notably, to foresee that the hooks of the rear seats would be fixed on the planned axles, not on the intermediate seats, but, above all, on the vehicle's chassis.

It would also be possible to envisage replacing the rear seat hooks with other means of locking (detent, magnetic, ...) which would then preferably be designed to leave the rear seats free from swinging towards the intermediate seats.

It would also be possible to foresee installing the straps on the seats of a vehicle comprising a single row of seats, in which case these straps would have the sole function of facilitating the fixation of the object in the trunk of the vehicle.
