Abstract
resumo patente de invenção: "aparelhos e métodos para detecção de radiação incluindo nêutrons e raios gama". a presente invenção refere-se a um detector de cintilação que inclui: um fotodetector; um material cintilante configurado para emitir luz em resposta à exposição às partículas de ionização tais como nêutrons e raios gama; um material oticamente transparente tendo um coeficiente de absorção de luz que é menos que um coeficiente de absorção de luz do material cintilante, o material oticamente transparente acoplado a uma superfície do material cintilante e configurado para transmitir a luz emitida; e um material reflexivo circundando pelo menos parcialmente o material cintilante e o material oticamente transparente, o material reflexivo configurado para refletir a luz emitida e direcionar a luz emitida para o fotodetector.
