The invention relates to a membrane-and-electrode assembly (4) for an electrolysis device (1), comprising: a proton exchange membrane (401, 402); an anode (404) and a cathode (403) disposed on each side of the membrane; a conductive catalyst (410) disposed on the proton exchange membrane, and a conductive junction (411) connecting the catalyst (410) and the cathode (403), the conductive junction having electrical resistance greater than the proton resistance of the membrane between the catalyst and the cathode.
