IMPROVEMENTS INTRODUCED IN FLEXIBLE PLASTIC PACKAGING FORMED BY MULTIPLE DETACHABLE UNITS FOR FRUIT OR FOOD PACKAGING IN GENERAL ”.

TECHNICAL FIELD [001] The present invention patent deals with improvements introduced in flexible plastic packaging formed by multiple detachable units for packaging fruit or food in general, such as pear, apple, persimmon, vegetables, among other foods available in supermarkets, fairs, fruit stores, etc .; said plastic packaging consists of a single base formed by multiple units of secondary packaging that can be detached from each other, each one equipped with a locking lid and idealized for packaging fruit units or other foods. This innovative packaging allows the fractional consumption of food by highlighting the secondary packaging units that can be transported for later consumption, without the need to move the other compartments.

TECHNICAL HISTORY [002] It is known that the sale of fruits, vegetables, among other perishable foods in commercial establishments, is usually carried out in retail mode, where the customer chooses the food and puts it in plastic bags, as well as the marketing it can be with food packaged in trays made of expanded polystyrene - EPS - or polyethylene terephthalate - PET, which are accommodated in the aforementioned trays and protected by plastic films.

[003] Although the conventional trays allow the organization of food for commercialization, the plastic film does not promote the proper protection of the food accommodated in the tray, mainly, the fruits that can be crushed due to movements during transport, as well as the film plastic when removed or broken, reuse is not possible, thus promoting exposure of fruits, vegetables or other foods.

[005] Although, the hinged lid promotes the protection of reserved food, especially during transport, the drawback of the referred packaging is the fact that the single container promotes the packing of food in a heaped way, causing contamination of the others, especially when delay in consumption and deterioration of one of the reserved foods, thus promoting the loss of purchased foods.

[006] Another drawback lies in the fact that the consumer transports a single unit of the food purchased, such as an apple, in order to later consume it in environments such as work, school, outings, etc. having to store it in another container suitable for the individual transport of the fruit, a fact that creates discomfort for the consumer.

[007] Another drawback refers to the long period of storage of the packaging in refrigerators or similar, since the user is obliged to store it until the end of consumption of all packaged foods, generating discomfort for the user, since, the dimensions of conventional packaging occupy considerable space on the shelves of refrigerators.

ANALYSIS OF THE STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE [008] In research carried out in specialized databases, documents were found referring to detachable packaging for packaging and transportation of fruits or other foods, such as the document no. MU 7601301-4 which deals with disposable packaging for fruit, especially for figs, peaches, and fruits with similar visual characteristics, the said packaging being formed by a lid and base, articulated with each other, where strategically sized accommodation is provided for receiving the fruit, as well as, it also provides locking devices that keep the packaging closed and locked in the condition of use, in addition to a side opening that provides ventilation to the fruit.

MU 8702735-6 refers to fruit packaging, consisting of a wrapper made of polyethylene terephthalate crystal material or similar material, provided with six modules, in which for each type of model, nine, twelve or fifteen cradles are available . Each module has cradles with dimensions approximately equal to those of fruit, designed to offer greater security against the possible knocks to which they are subjected during transport, storage and commercialization, as well as to help protect the fruit, the packaging is wrapped in appropriate film paper .

[010] Another document of no. MU 8701054-2 is a packaging made of transparent material and composed with four individual compartments for the storage of each fruit, of a piriform shape, connected opposite two by two, being divided in half, two halves, and having their mouths integrally molded on bases that project peripherally in the form of a square flap, through which the two halves are joined together, closing the package, using locking systems by a beveled pin, it has four pins and four bushings, provided on their facing faces next to the edges on two opposite sides, the pyriform compartments being provided with eight structural reinforcement ribs arranged radially and still having a central reinforcement at the ends to improve the stacking structure, with the upper central reinforcements having lowerings that define female inserts for stacking , while the lower central ribs protrude and define male inserts that will be housed in the lower packaging lowering when stacking, with a central reinforcement for improving the stacking structure.

[011] The packaging listed above, despite belonging to the same field of application, differs from the present invention, as will be seen below, thus ensuring that it fully meets the legal requirements for patentability.

OBJECTIVES OF THE INVENTION [012] The applicant working in the area of plastic packaging production, developed improvements introduced in flexible plastic packaging formed by multiple detachable units for packaging fruit or food in

[013] Mentioned flexible plastic packaging can be made of polyethylene terephthalate - PET - crystal or another type of suitable polymer, consisting of a base from which multiple cribs of identical peripheral shapes develop, each with a hinged lid provided at least a couple of locks. Said cradles are delimited by longitudinal and transversal perforation lines, in order to compose units of secondary packaging detachable from each other.

[014] Each unit of detachable secondary packaging comprises an individualized container with a lid for the storage of a unit of fruit, vegetables or other types of perishable food for the transport of food and subsequent consumption.

[015] Thus, the main advantage of the innovative packaging lies in the fact that the consumer purchases a single package with multiple individualized cradles with respective lids that configure the detachable secondary packaging units and that can pack units of food or fractionated foods for immediate consumption or subsequent consumption.

[016] Another advantage lies in the fact that the detachable units for the packing of various foods have reduced dimensions, facilitating transport, mainly in bags, backpacks and related items.

[017] Another advantage lies in the fact that the constructive characteristics of the packaging allow the forecast of detachable units with the respective lid equipped with a latch, providing the insulation of the food against external dirt.

[018] Another advantage of the packaging in question lies in the fact that the highlight of the units allows the compacting of the dimensional for its storage, eliminating the need to transfer the food to small containers.

[019] Another advantage of the predictability of the detachable secondary packaging units is the ease of visualization of the packed food.

[022] Another advantage of the mentioned packaging refers to the possibility of reusing the detachable secondary packaging units that can serve as a container for other fruits and foods that do not have such a storage system.

[023] Another advantage refers to the making of the mentioned packaging, from flexible thermoplastic materials, in order to facilitate the highlight among the secondary packaging units.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE OBJECT [025] With reference to the illustrated drawings, the present invention patent refers to “IMPROVEMENTS INTRODUCED IN A FLEXIBLE PLASTIC PACKAGE FORMED BY MULTIPLE DETACHABLE UNITS FOR PACKAGING FRUITS OR FOODS IN GENERAL”, more precisely, it deals with packaging (10) for packaging food units (Ft) such as fruits, vegetables, etc. or fractionated foods (Fa) such as grains, chocolates, seeds, among others sold in supermarkets, fairs, fruit stores, among others. Said packaging (10) is made of flexible plastic or another suitable one.

[026] According to the present invention, said package (10) is comprised of multiple detachable units (UD) of secondary packages (11), each formed by a container (11A) with peripheral edge (11b) provided with latches ( 11c) of the respective hinged cover (12). Said units (UD) are distinguishable by the prediction of longitudinal (L1) and transversal (L2) perforation lines that delimit the edges (11b) with rounded corners of each unit (UD), while the containers (11A) that make up each unit (UD) can pack food units (Ft) such as fruits, vegetables, etc. or fractionated foods (Fa).

[027] In a preferential constructive version, said packaging (10) is comprised of

Petition 870170043765, of 06/26/2017, p. 9/26 / 7 a base (10A) that can present different peripheral shapes, such as rectangular, quadrangular, circular, among others, and said base (10A) provides longitudinal (L1) and transversal (L2) lines that delimit areas (AR) each provided with a central hole (10b) from where a 'U' projection develops in order to compose the container (11A).

[028] From the pair of extreme edges (10c) and (10d) opposite each other, these lids (12) are formed, formed by pairs of flaps (12a) separated from each other by means of central cutouts (12b), being that area peripheral (AR1) of each tab (12a) corresponds to the area (AR) of each unit (UD). Next to the extreme edges of each flap (12a), pairs of projections (12c) of peripheral shape develop corresponding to the recesses (11c) practiced in the base (10A) of each detachable unit (UD).

[029] The coupling of the projections (12c) in the recesses (11c) configures the locking of the cover (12) of each unit (UD).

[030] Thus, each unit (UD) can accommodate units of food (Ft) such as fruits, vegetables, etc. or fractionated foods (Fa) such as grains, chocolates, seeds, among others and can be highlighted by breaking the lines of perforations (L1) and (L2).

[031] In a unit arrangement variation (UD) (see figures 6, 6A and 6B) the package (10) can be formed by: i) a pair of units (UD1); ii) six units (UD2); iii) eight units (UD3), etc.

[032] In a constructive variation, the detachable unit (UD ') of the package (10') may have a lid (12 ') provided with a curved area (12e'), as well as it may have a cradle (11A ') of a different shade from shade of the lid (12 ').

[033] It is true that when the present invention is put into practice, modifications may be made with regard to certain details of construction and shape, without this implying departing from the fundamental principles that are clearly substantiated in the claim framework, becoming thus understood that the terminology used was not intended to be limiting.
