Abstract

"MéTODO DE REPELIR INSETOS OU CARRAPATOS DE HOSPEDEIROS". Di-hidronepetalactona, componente natural menor do óleo essencial de erva dos gatos (Nepeta spp), tal como Nepeta cataria, foi identificada como composto repelente de insetos eficaz. A síntese de dihidronepetalactona pode ser atingida por meio da hidrogenação de nepetalactona, componente principal de óleos essenciais de erva dos gatos. Este composto, que também possui propriedades de fragrância, pode ser utilizado comercialmente pelas suas propriedades repelentes de insetos.
