E apresentado um processo para produzir uma suspensão de ácido carboxílico purificado. O processo compreende a remoção de impurezas de um produto cristalizado, em uma zona sólida de deslocamento sólido líquido, para formar a suspensão de ácido carboxílico purificado. A suspensão de ácido carboxílico purificado é ainda mais resfriada em uma zona de resfriamento e posteriormente é filtrada e seca em uma zona de filtragem e secagem. A process for producing a suspension of purified carboxylic acid is disclosed. The process comprises removing impurities from a crystallized product in a solid solid liquid displacement zone to form the purified carboxylic acid suspension. The purified carboxylic acid suspension is further cooled in a cooling zone and then filtered and dried in a filtering and drying zone. The process produces a purified carboxylic acid product having a good color and low levels of impurities without the use of purification steps such as filtrate hydrogenation or purging.
